I have become a lightning hunter in this season of storms. At the first spark of lightning over the ocean, I'm out there. Yesterday there was a passing storm and I caught some. I'm not above setting up a shot but I do get some pleasure in shooting things as I find them. So it was cool to find these chairs on the beach, like that, to include in the shot and make it more interesting. I didn't see the chairs' mystery owners anywhere. They were probably seeking shelter, like I was shortly after this shot.

Laura Fasulo is an artist and fine art photographer. She uses a variety of media including film and digital photography, drawing, painting, and digital art. She attended Manhattan's School of Visual Arts, where she was immersed in the city's extensive culture as well as its historic and contemporary art scenes. As a child she assisted her father, in astro-photography. Viewing and taking photos of the stars and planets with her Dad taught her about family, photography and science and instilled in her a fascination with the night sky. She credits her father also for her long-term status as a night owl.
