A longboard standing tall at the shore near Juno Pier in South Florida. The longboard is a surfboard that is longer and wider than the shorter 5 or 6 foot current standard. Longboards can be 9 and 10 feet or longer. It was your father's surfboard. Longboards were popular in the 1950's and 1960's but are still used by many surfers today. You know when a veteran surfer walks onto the beach with a longboard it's going to be a beautiful ride to watch. Check out 1960's longboard surfing movies like The Endless Summer and you will see just how cool they are. This surfboard with custom hand painted heart is a valentine to all surfers. Laura Fasulo is an artist and fine art photographer. She uses a variety of media including film and digital photography, drawing, painting, and digital art. She attended Manhattan's School of Visual Arts, where she was immersed in the city's extensive culture as well as its historic and contemporary art scenes. As a child she assisted her father, in astro-photography. Viewing and taking photos of the stars and planets with her Dad taught her about family, photography and science and instilled in her a fascination with the night sky. She credits her father also for her long-term status as a night owl. Her work has been featured internationally in advertising campaigns, magazine articles, book covers, set designs and gallery exhibitions....
