Description
A weekend morning. I can sleep a little later and still be up before the rest of the house. I feel happy knowing everyone is home and there is a healthy child and dog in each of the other bedrooms. When I slip out of bed the dogs meet me in the kitchen, not for a treat but to sit patiently and watch me start the coffee making. I grind the beans add the water and after I flip the switch, my furry lovlies know, the next thing I will do is grab my camera and head outside. That's the moment they have been waiting for. Sometimes I get a few shots for my art and sometimes I just sit, watch the dogs romp and enjoy the moment. A short walk from my house where the land meets the sea, there is the softest sugary sand, and that's yet another wonderful thing to explore. Today I found the tiniest beach cottage there, it's occupant still asleep. When we come back inside speckled with sand, the house is filled with the smell of coffee and home. There is so much to be thankful for.
